WASHINGTON, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Women's health brand First Response launched a new pregnancy test that attempts to ease a user's nerves through the help of her smartphone.

The First Response Pregnancy Pro Digital Test & App Access product, recently announced at CES in Las Vegas, allows users to sync their phones with the corresponding pregnancy test via Bluetooth technology and receive personalized resources after results are obtained.

To operate, users open the First Response app on their mobile phone, connect to the test via Bluetooth and take the test. A series of "distractions" are provided to help calm nerves as three minutes pass for test results.

At the beginning of the test, users are asked if they want to be pregnant, which alters the ultimate result display message.

While waiting, users can choose between specific "distractions" labeled Educate Me, Entertain Me or Calm Me. The latter option plays meditation music, offers breathing techniques or plays a peaceful video.

The Pro Digital Test will reportedly become available in stores in the spring for $15 to $20.
